Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the difference between Glasbord® FXFM and CGI?*
Both materials consist of fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) with a durable Glasbord® surface. The difference lies in the fire rating:
- Glasbord® CGI:* Meets fire classification E according to DIN EN 13501-1.
- Glasbord® FXFM: Meets the higher fire classification B-s2-d0 according to DIN EN 13501-1. These panels are more flame-resistant and provide greater safety.
Are the ceiling panels moisture-resistant?
Yes. Our FRP panels are completely waterproof and moisture-resistant. They do not swell and are resistant to mold, making them ideal for use in damp environments such as kitchens, laboratories, and wet rooms.
How are the ceiling panels installed?
Installation is very simple. Our panels are simply placed into the existing T-grid of your suspended ceiling and secured with two retaining clips per panel. This ensures they remain safely in place, even under pressure differences in cleanrooms or due to drafts.
What is the best way to clean FRP ceiling panels?
Cleaning is straightforward. Thanks to the smooth Glasbord® surface, the panels can be wiped with a damp cloth or mild cleaning agents. They are resistant to most disinfectants, allowing thorough cleaning without damaging the material.
